In the coastal region of Kenya, Stretchers Youth Organization has taken this to heart, through the MEAT project funded by Voice which focuses on promoting peaceful youth inclusion in political, democratic, and governance processes. Through its innovative approach, Stretchers Youth Organization has contributed greatly to the empowerment of the youth in the coastal region of Kenya, connecting them to opportunities while strengthening their leadership abilities. The MEAT project has helped to break down barriers to youth political participation, enabling young people to take an active role in shaping the future of their communities.
